Paper Train is Louisa J. Malcolm's workshop, opened in February 2000, in Florence, where she produces objects using papiermaché. Louisa was born in Edinburgh in 1967 and has been living in Italy since 1993.

She has been creating her own masks for many years and the technique she now uses allows her to produce objects which are both beautiful and refined while being light and strong. Her love of masks comes from her past work with physical theatre, dance and mime.

Each piece is entirely made and painted by hand, therefore original, and is a result of her passion for art, working with her hands and the materials she uses.
